Note from Pastor

I wonder...
...how many of us have had a conversation with our next-door neighbors.
...how many of us have brought up our commitment to follow Jesus in conversations with our neighbors.
...what God thinks about our individual desire to help people find and follow Jesus.

Few people did more for missions and Bible translation in the 1700s than Nicholaus Zinzendorf. He was instrumental in launching a century-long prayer meeting. He encouraged missionaries to focus on unreached people groups before they were called unreached people groups, and he pioneered the modern Bible translation movement for Bibleless people. But the core of Zinzendorf’s missionary fervor is easy to grasp; he once said, “Missions, after all, is simply this: Every heart with Christ is a missionary, every heart without Christ is a mission field.” Said another way, you’ll reach the world when you reach the people right in front of you.

I am anticipating a great week as we focus on the unreached people around us—our neighbors next door.
